Use Lexicon with AI apps

Every AI app connects with the same address:

https://lexicon.alirezaiyan.com/mcp

When the app asks you to sign in, use the Google account you use in Lexicon. You then choose what the app may do.

1. On claude.ai, open Customize → Connectors.
2. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
3. Name it Lexicon, paste the URL above, and click Continue. Keep the sign-in settings Claude suggests, then click Add.
4. Click Connect, sign in with Google, and approve.
5. In a chat, turn Lexicon on with the + button → Connectors.

On Team and Enterprise plans, an organization owner adds the connector first under Organization settings → Connectors. Once added, it shows up in the Claude mobile apps too.

Run this once in your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http lexicon https://lexicon.alirezaiyan.com/mcp

Then type /mcp in Claude Code, pick lexicon, and sign in in the browser window that opens.

Any app that can add a remote MCP server with sign-in works. Look for a setting called connectors, apps, or MCP servers, add the URL above, and sign in when asked. In ChatGPT, adding your own connector needs developer mode, which you turn on in the connector settings.

When you approve, each of these is a separate checkbox:

• See your words and tags. Search your words and translations, list your tags, and see which words are due for review.
• Add words and tags. Add new words (up to 100 at a time) and put tags on words you already have. It never deletes words and never changes your learning progress.
• See your study progress. Read this week's report (cards reviewed, accuracy, study time, streak) and the words you get wrong most often.

No connected app can delete words, delete your account, or change your settings or subscription.

• “Which of my German words are due today? Quiz me on five of them.”
• “Here's an article I'm reading. Pick the ten words I'm least likely to know and add them to Lexicon with English translations.”
• “Tag every word I saved about cooking with "kitchen".”
• “How did my week go in Lexicon? What should I focus on?”
• “Which words do I keep getting wrong? Write me a short story that uses them.”

In the Lexicon app, open Settings → Connected apps, pick the app, and tap Disconnect. It loses access right away. The row only appears once you have connected an app. Deleting your account removes every connection too.

Does this use my AI credits?

No. The AI app does the thinking on its side. Lexicon only reads and saves your words, so it doesn't use the AI credits in the app, and it works on the free plan.

Do quizzes in the chat count as reviews?

No. Only reviews you do in the Lexicon app move a word between levels. A chat quiz is extra practice.

Where do words I add from a chat show up?

In your word list on every device, ready for review right away. If the app is already open, they appear the next time you come back to it.

I signed in with Apple. Can I connect?

Not yet. Signing in to connect an app works with Google only for now.

I don't have a Lexicon account yet.

Install the app and sign in with Google first. Connecting an AI app doesn't create an account.

The app says it can't connect

Check that the URL is exactly the one above, ending in /mcp. If you added it before, remove the connector and add it again.

The app was asked to sign in again

That happens after a month without use, or after you disconnected it in Lexicon. Sign in again and approve.

The app says it doesn't have permission

You unticked that access when you approved. The app can ask you again, or you can disconnect it in Lexicon and connect it once more.
