Udacity Blockchain Developer Nanodegree
What I learned about smart contracts, web3 tooling, and decentralized storage in Udacity's blockchain program.
I did Udacity's Blockchain Developer Nanodegree because I wanted to understand how smart contracts and web3 apps actually work, not just read about them. It was a mix of reading and hands-on projects, and by the end I was comfortable building apps on Ethereum.
What I learned
- How a blockchain works underneath: transactions, consensus, and how privacy works on a public ledger.
- Writing smart contracts in Solidity, the ERC-20 and ERC-721 token standards, and pulling outside data in through oracles.
- Storing data on IPFS, with React Native front ends, TypeScript utilities, and Node.js services.
